A well-planned plant-based diet is built on a few simple food groups. You don’t have to plan everything right away.
Sample text – replace with your own. It’s enough for each meal to include something from the list below.
A Plate in Four Parts
- Vegetables and fruit – the more colors, the better.
- Legumes – beans, chickpeas, lentils, tofu, and tempeh.
- Grain products – groats, whole-grain bread, rice, rolled oats.
- Nuts and seeds – a handful a day is enough.
Where to Start
Start with dishes you already know and swap the animal-based ingredients for plant-based ones. Spaghetti with lentils, chickpea curry, or oatmeal made with plant-based milk are a good start.
